Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana Gujarat 2020-21
The Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana will be launched on the Prime Minister's birthday on September 17, with the aim of making middle class women the economic pillar of their families, especially in the post-Corona social scenario, Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has expressed a definite resolution.To introduce revolutionary 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana' in Gujarat.
Mukhyamantri Mahila Utthan Yojana will be presented to the women of Gujarat on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi on September 17, 2020. Under this revolutionary scheme, more than 10 lakh women will be given financial loans at the rate of 'zero' percentInterest.
A total of one lakh 'Joint Responsibility and Earnings Women's Groups' will be set up in the state under the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Utthan Yojana'.Of which, 50,000 groups will be formed in rural areas and 20,000,000 groups in urban zones.
Each group will include 10 women as partners.Each group was given Rs.One-lakh.Thus, 10-lakh women will be given a total of Rs.1,000-crore.
These loans will be made available to these women's groups through nationalized banks, co-operative banks and financial institutions recognized by the RBI.
The Chief Minister has requested the banking sector to join this women's welfare scheme enthusiastically.In this regard, the state government will also sign MoUs with banks in the near future.
In addition, the state government has decided to waive stamp duty on these loans.And, for this purpose Rs.175-crore has been allotted by the state government, the CM said.

Shri Rupani expressed her determination that the women of Gujarat who have brought ‘White Revolution’ through animal husbandry;With the help of this loan, they will also become 'financially self-sufficient' by starting a small, independent business or 'planetary industry'.

The scheme also provides that NGOs, which are working for the welfare and upliftment of women, can also avail the benefits of the scheme for their women members.
It should be noted here that during the financial year 2019-20, 45,404 self-help women's groups (Sakhi Mandals) spent Rs.428.72-crore for their 4.25 lakh women members.
The scheme will be implemented in rural areas by the Gujarat Rosario Promotion Company owned by the Rural Development Department of the Government of Gujarat.Similarly, this scheme will be implemented in urban areas by the Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission of the Urban Development Department of the Government of Gujarat.
