- My Global, Big 4 Consultancy client are looking to change the way organizations provide services. Due to this, they are seeking a team of Engineers to work across a variety of projects, providing a next generation service, utilizing their Big Data and client facing expertise.
- THE COMPANY :- I'm working on behalf of a Global organization who are a valued worldwide professional service company seeking Big Data Engineers with skills across Hadoop, Java or Scala, to join their high growth team in Illinois.
THE ROLE :- Architecture
design, prototype, and implementation architectures, to challenge the Data
Science and Big Data needs for a number of Fortune 1000 organizations and other
leading corporations
You will be an expert in
understanding a clients needs, ingesting rich data sources including, internal
/ external documents, social media, financial data, news and operational data
You will have hands on
experience utilizing Big Data methodologies, such as Spark, Hadoop, Redshift
and Azure - 2 years minimum
Architecture,
implementation and testing of data processing pipelines
Data mining / Data science
algorithms on a variety of hosted including, Azure, AWS, my clients own
clusters and also clients technology stacks
Translating advanced
business analytics into technical approaches, yielding recommendations in a
diverse range of domains including, risk management, market research, product
development - with experience communicating results and educating others
through insightful visualizations, presentations and reports
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND
REQUIREMENTS :- Bachelors degree from an accredited colleague
Masters degree with 5
years experience or PhD with 2 years commercial experience
You will be agnostic
across several programming languages, including, Scala or Java, Python with the
ability to pick up new skills quickly
You will also have a solid
understanding of cloud and distributed systems principles such as Load
Balancing, Networks and Scaling
Large Scale / Big Data
methods, including, MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Storm and Hive
