Inspection of minor fire accident sites and take corrective actions
2. Take periodic fire inspection rounds in port area, Adani House & PUB during his shift
3. Coordinate with Dry Cargo department and keep coal fire under control using water spray.
4. Lead fire crew in fire/rescue call in his shift and extinguish the same.
5. Check fuel level of all fire pumps, fire tenders, portable pumps and motorcycles and coordinate with Dy. Manager - Fire Services for raising necessary indent / reservation.
6. Maintain defined water level in Liquid Terminal and Dry Cargo locations
7. Maintain documentation as per IMS system and prepare daily and monthly reports
8. Impart regular practical and theoretical training to fire operator and drivers with respect to operational aspects of various fire fighting and rescue equipment available with Fire Services
Secondary Responsibilities
1. Keep fire fighting equipment standby arrangement during handling of hazardous chemicals and bunkers at liquid terminal, jetties and Air Port
2. Carry out regular testing of fire fighting equipments as per testing schedule in his shift. Make entry of the observations during such testing / maintenance.
3. Ensure daily testing of fire pumps at all locations in his shift.
4. Refill of empty Breathing Apparatus Cylinder using compressor.
5. Follow-up with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of fire fighting equipments, appliances and fix systems
6. Coordinate with MUPL for regular supply of water from Narmada water storage to ships.
7. Perform SAP transaction as required
